NYPD: Basic Methods of Security

Paul Benne and John Bekisz of Sentinel Consulting took part in the semi-annual NYPD training course as instructors.  The NYPD Basic Methods of Security teaches basic security procedures and design practices to police officers from the Community Affairs, Housing, Traffic, and Crime Prevention bureaus.

Using their extensive security knowledge, Paul teaches the officers about Perimeter Security and the Security Survey. John teaches on Video Surveillance System and Biometrics.

Other classes such as Access Control, Window Glazing, and CPTED are provided.  All the instructors are volunteers and many, including Paul and John, are members of ASIS councils.
